Exploring Memory, Identity and the Human side of Tomorrow.

On March 26th, 2026, The Nose Lab joined TEDxChiado at the Altis Grand Hotel, in Lisbon, for an edition dedicated to the theme “Humanity 5.0 — The Next Update Will Be Us.”
For this special collaboration, we explored how scent can become a bridge between ideas, emotions and memories — creating an invisible layer capable of transforming the way an experience is lived and remembered.
Together with Thiza Resende, representing the TEDxChiado organization, our perfumer developed the official fragrance of the event: a unique olfactory signature inspired by the dialogue between nature and technology, memory and evolution, the organic and the artificial.
Throughout the venue, this fragrance was diffused into the space, creating a sensory atmosphere that accompanied the audience during their TEDxChiado journey.
As part of the experience, The Nose Lab also created three exclusive olfactory capsules inspired by three different moments in time: Past, Present and Future.
Each fragrance invited participants to pause and reflect:
where we came from, where we are today, and where we are going.
In an era defined by technological acceleration, this sensory journey was a reminder that the greatest evolution remains deeply human — shaped by our memories, emotions, creativity and connections.
A celebration of ideas, senses and the essence of what makes us human.
